The road to the hot springs

From the town of Jasper, drive about 44 km on Highway 16 to the turn-off, then 17 km on the winding Miette Road. Allow time for the curves and for animals on the road. The maximum vehicle length is 7.5 m. Trailers and large motorhomes may not go beyond Miette Campground.

The date the road opens does not tell you the first day the pools open, so check both before you leave. In the autumn season there were no advance tickets: you bought on site, first come, first served, every day of the season including holidays. Do not assume the same for another year.

Opening hours

In the autumn period from 8 September to 12 October, the pools were open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with last entry at 8:30 p.m. There was no quiet hour. Summer hours differ, and the hours for the next season are posted by Parks Canada before opening.
